GALVESTON Blaming an overly-slick floor for his multiple injuries, seaman Guillermo Camarillo has filed suit against his employer.
In a lawsuit filed Feb. 24 against Aramark Corp. in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas, Camarillo explains that he slipped on the galley floor of the Seahawk 3000 last April 5.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff and a co-worker were instructed to clean the floor. But he alleges they were given improper cleaning materials which caused the floor to become slick and caused injuries to his back, neck, head, and other parts of his body.
In addition, Camarillo states his co-worker was allowed to abandon the job and left him alone to complete the work.
He is represented by Dennis L. Rown PC
The case has been assigned to U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt.
