Couple sues over rear end collision

Beaumont residents Charles and Mary Weaver claim they were rear ended while yielding to oncoming traffic.

Alleging Kevin and Tracy Wilson caused the collision, the Weavers filed suit against them Feb. 24 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that on March 26, 2009, the Weavers were yielding to oncoming traffic prior to entering Highway 105 when Kevin, driving a vehicle ensured by Tracy, failed to control his speed and slammed into the rear of their vehicle.

The couple's suit further alleges Kevin negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and Tracy negligently entrusted him with the vehicle.

The plaintiffs are suing for their alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents them.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
