Woman thrown from car in crash files suit against driver, insurer

GALVESTON Claiming she was involved in a wreck which caused her to be thrown from her vehicle two years ago, Annie Hill has filed suit against Erika Fullen and Hartford Casualty General Agency Inc.

Hill argues that Fullen ran a stop sign at the intersection of 49th Street and Avenue P and made her strike the defendant's vehicle, a lawsuit filed March 4 in Galveston County District Court says.

The original petition shows the supposed impact forced Hill out of her vehicle, inflicting "severe, disabling injuries" to the plaintiff. She was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The complainant blames Fullen for not yielding the right-of-way as well as failing to take proper evasive action and faults Hartford for insufficient compensation.

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Bettison Doyle Apffel & Guarino PC is representing Hill, and Galveston County 10th District Court Judge David Garner is presiding over the case.

Case No. 11-cv-0388
