Mother, children sue over rear-end collision

Tasha Hawkins and her two minor children have filed suit against two individuals they are holding responsible for causing an automobile collision last May.

The suit was filed March 25 in Jefferson County District Court and names Quais Savoir and Rachel Darby as defendants.

According to the petition, on May 28 Hawkins and her children were traveling south on Eastex Freeway when Savoir allegedly "failed to control his speed and slammed into the rear of plaintiff's vehicle."

In her suit, Hawkins said her children needed medical attention after the crash.

The suit does not state how Darby is negligent.

The plaintiffs are suing for their alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Derrick Parker represents them.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
