Beaumont man seeks injunction to stop city from demolishing home

Local resident Denny Allain has filed a temporary restraining order request against the city of Beaumont in hopes of stopping his home from being demolished.

The TRO application was filed March 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, the city condemned Allain's property located at 4180 Highland Ave. and has scheduled the home to be demolished.

In his suit, Allain argues he would suffer the loss of the investment of his home unless the city is enjoined.

The suit does not state when the city condemned the home or if Allain protested the decision.

On top of the TRO, Allain is seeking a permanent injunction.

Beaumont attorney Thomas Moses represents him.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. B189-657
