Beaumont man sued over $10K credit card debt

A credit card company claims a Beaumont man has failed to pay it more than $10,000 in late credit card payments he owes.

FIA Card Services filed a lawsuit March 21 in Jefferson County District Court against Michael L. Allen.

FIA claims Allen owes $11,405.06 on his credit card, but has failed to make his payments.

FIA alleges breach of contract against Allen.

In addition to the money it says Allen owes it, FIA seeks attorney's fees, court costs, post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law and other relief the court deems just.

Michael J. Scott, Teri Stewart Mace, Judith Morgan, T.L. Elder and Jessica Eckstein of Carrollton will be representing it.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. B189-631
