Man claims Dixie Dance Hall failed to safely escort him off premises

Groves resident Brandon Lee Parker has filed suit against the Dixie Dance Hall, alleging employees "failed to escort him off the premises in a safe manner."

The suit was filed April 19 in Jefferson County District Court.

Parker alleges that on March 23 he received injuries when employees threw him out of the Crockett Street Entertainment District nightclub.

The suit does not state why Parker was asked to leave or what alleged injuries he suffered during the incident.

The suit only alleges Dixie Dance Hall failed to properly train and supervise its employees.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Chris Portner of Portner & Bond represents him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is presiding over the case.
