Excello Construction sued for not paying $7K debt

Dayton resident Tom Yoakum has filed suit against Excello Construction, a Beaumont business, for allegedly failing to pay him back for goods and services totaling more than $7,000.

The suit was filed April 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

In his suit, Yoakum says he provided flooring materials and vinyl and carpet installation services for the price of $7,051.

"Plaintiff has demanded that defendant pay this amount, but defendant has not done so," the suit states, adding that Excello breached its contract.

Yoakum is suing for actual and consequential damages, plus all court costs.

Dayton attorney Matthew Poston represents him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
