Suit alleges motorist struck man on motorcycle

Buna resident Mickey Sterling has filed suit against Frank Richardson for allegedly hitting him while out riding his motorcycle.

The suit was filed June 27 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Aug. 17, 2009, Sterling was on his motorcycle traveling east on Proctor Street in Port Arthur when Richardson struck him while turning onto a private drive.

The suit alleges Richardson negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and made an improper turn.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

He is represented by attorney Lance P. Bradley of McPherson, Hughes, Bradley, Wimberley, Steele and Chatelain in Port Arthur.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
