Worker injured while pulling cable, sues AET Offshore Services

Daniel Laxson, who injured his arm while pulling cable from the water, has filed suit against AET Offshore Services, alleging the company should have better supervised him.

The suit was filed July 8 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on June 28 Laxson was aiding the vessel the AET Explorer when he injured his shoulder, neck and back while pulling cable out of the water.

In his suit, Laxson alleges the vessel was unseaworthy and that AET Offshore negligently failed to supervise the crew and provide adequate safety equipment.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Jason Itkin of Arnold & Itkin represents him.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
