Groves resident Dylan Carlos has filed a suit against Port Neches resident Larry Guillory, alleging Guillory was driving while intoxicated and struck his motorcycle.
The suit was filed July 18 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on April 9 Carlos was out riding his motorcycle when Guillory struck him, throwing him from the bike.
The suit does not state where the incident occurred.
In his suit, Carlos accuses Guillory of negligently driving while intoxicated and failing to maintain a proper lookout.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Attorney Matthew Matheny of the Beaumont law firm Provost Umphrey represents him.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
