A total of six new complaints against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims have been filed in Jefferson County District Court, July 11-15, 2011.
The following complaints have been filed:
Josefina Cardenas of Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association underpaid her claim for damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Cardenas will be represented by Eric Paul Edwardson of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: B190-515.
Maria Espinoza of 1239 James Ave. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Espinoza will be represented by Danny R. Scott Jr. of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: A190-499.
Maria and Rosa Ochoa of 4330 Sunken Court in Port Arthur allege Farmers Insurance Exchange, Texas Farmers Insurance Company and Fire Insurance Exchange denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Ochoas will be represented by Danny R. Scott Jr. of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E190-507.
Jesus Pulido of 4041 42nd St. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Thomas and Melinda Martin of 10075 Milky Way Lane in Beaumont allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Ada Thierry of 4065 Hester St. in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for contents, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
