A woman has filed suit on behalf of the minor who she claims was struck by a car while he was riding on a bike.
Michelle Mumford claims minor Justin Gardner was riding a bike on Nov. 24 when defendant Phuong Doan struck him with a vehicle owned by defendant Ty Pham.
Because of the incident, Gardner sustained personal injuries, experienced physical pain and suffering and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint filed July 28 in Jefferson County District Court.
In her complaint, Mumford is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Brett S. Thomas of Roebuck, Thomas, Roebuck and Adams in Beaumont will be representing her.
The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
