Southeast Texas resident Marbelinda Hooker has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Orbital Insulation, a Port Arthur company.
The suit was filed Aug. 1 in Jefferson County District Court.
In her suit, Hooker claims he was wrongfully terminated after she submitted a sexual harassment claim.
"Plaintiff would show that she was the victim of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination violation of the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act," the suit states.
The suit does not give specific incidents of the alleged sexual harassment.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant acted with malice and is suing for punitive damages.
Beaumont attorney John Morgan represents her.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
