Security company seeks payment for services

GALVESTON - Claiming Beachtown Galveston Corp. and Village One Town Center I LLC did not pay for protection systems they each requested, C3 Protection LLC pursues legal action.

A lawsuit filed Dec. 2 in Galveston County Court at Law No. 2 asserts Beachtown Galveston owes the plaintiff approximately $8,600 for labor performed at its premises and Village One is delinquent on about $5,000.

Court papers show C3 Protection and Beachtown Galveston entered into a written agreement to install and monitor a Silent Knight Fire System at the respondent's property on Nov. 2, 2009.

Beachtown Galveston reportedly consented to pay the plaintiff $26,246.78 to install the system as well as $42 per month for the latter to monitor said system once installed.

It sought C3 Protection's services again last July.

Meanwhile, the complainant began working with Village One earlier this year on the installation of a detection system with the latter agreeing to pay $3,500 for the installation and $297 per month for maintenance and monitoring.

The suit alleges Beachtown Galveston failed to pay $5,871.78 of the agreed-upon installation price in addition to defaulting on two invoices totaling $2,132.73.

It adds the plaintiff also completed its work for Village One, but the defendant has yet to pay its own invoices.

Consequently, C3 Protection seeks at least $20,000 in damages and a jury trial.

The plaintiff is represented by Royston, Rayzor, Vickery & Williams.

Galveston County Court at Law No. 2 Judge Barbara Roberts is presiding over the case.
