Suit brought in Jefferson County over crash in Orange County

A lawsuit over an automobile crash that occurred in Orange County has been brought in Jefferson County.

Individually and on behalf of Holly Heintschel, a minor, Theresa Heintschel filed a pro se suit against Melissa and Caleb Riley, both Orange County resident, on Feb. 7 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 20, 2011, Holly was involved in an automobile collision in Vidor, causing her injury.

The collision was allegedly caused by the negligence of the Rileys.

However, the suit fails to state how the incident occurred or how the defendants were negligent in causing the collision.

The suit also fails to state why venue is proper in Jefferson County.

The plaintiffs are suing to recover an unspecified judgment.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
