Nuvell Credit sues to recover unpaid balance on auto loan

Nuvell Credit Co. has filed suit against Beaumont resident Joe Jackson, alleging he still owes more than $14,000 on a past due auto loan.

The suit was filed Feb. 23 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 25, 2006, Jackson purchased a 2007 Chevrolet LD Crew from JK Chevrolet for $25,725.17.

Nuvell Credit eventually purchased the note.
