A total of five new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Feb. 27-March 2.
The following complaints were filed:
Atilee Captain of 1305 Grannis Ave. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Irma Citizen of 2335 Ave. A in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Citizen will be represented by Orlando R. Lopez of The Lopez Law Firm in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: B192-031.
Lisa Johnson of 3150 Texas St. in Beaumont alleges State Farm Lloyds denied her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after a severe windstorm struck on June 6, 2011. Wesley Jones of 1908 18th St. in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a severe windstorm struck on June 6, 2011.
