Suit says minor girl injured in collision

A minor girl sustained injuries during a collision, according to recently filed court documents.

Cleo Martin claims minor Carly Rae King sustained the injuries when the vehicle in which she was riding was struck by defendant Jane Tester on Aug. 9, 2010. At the time of the collision, Jane Tester was driving a vehicle owned by defendant Ernest Tester, according to the complaint filed March 8 in Jefferson County District Court.

Because of the collision, King experienced physical pain and mental anguish and incurred medical costs in addition to her injuries, the suit states.

Martin does not specify how the collision occurred.

She is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Brandon P. Monk of The Monk Law Firm in Port Arthur will be representing her.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
