Galveston resident Jose Rojas has filed suit against Port Arthur locals Jeylin and Peggy Reed, seeking more than $50,000 for injuries received in automobile collision.
The suit was filed April 9 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 16, 2010, Rojas was in a vehicle traveling south on Highway 69 near the Memorial intersection in Port Arthur when Jeylin, operating a vehicle owned by Peggy, rear ended him.
The suit accuses both defendants of jointly causing the incident but does not state a specific act of negligence.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
League City attorney Lawrence Tylka represents him.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
