Intersection collision results in litigation

Two Beaumont residents are in litigation over an automobile collision that occurred last August.

Troy Danrich filed suit against Blythe Fiedler on May 4 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Aug. 31 Danrich was traveling north on Dowlen Road in Beaumont when Fiedler entered Dowlen from Folsom Street against a red light and struck the rear of his vehicle.

The suit accuses the defendant of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout, and turning right at a red light when it was not safe to do so.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Attorney Barrett Lindsay of the Beaumont law firm Lindsay, Lindsay & Parsons represents him.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. D192-410
