A Travis County woman claims she and a minor child incurred medical costs following a collision.
Carrie Perkins filed a lawsuit April 27 in Jefferson County District Court against Linda McGown Brinkley.
In her complaint, Perkins alleges she and minor Noah Perkins were riding with McGown when McGown improperly made a left-hand turn, causing a collision.
In addition to the medical costs, Carrie Perkins and Noah Perkins sustained physical pain, mental anguish and physical impairment, according to the complaint.
Carrie Perkins blames McGown for causing the collision, saying she negligently improperly made a left-hand turn, failed to maintain a proper lookout and failed to use reasonable care.
Carrie Perkins is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus interest at the legal rate, costs and other relief the court deems just.
M. Dru Montgomery of The Heartfield Law Firm in Beaumont will be representing her.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
