Lawsuit calls Dixon Mower a 'piece of junk'

Alleging the Dixon Mower she purchased is a "worthless piece of junk," Leigh Green has filed suit against Husqvarna Construction Products North America.

The suit was filed June 1 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, in January 2011 Green and her husband purchased a Dixon Mower. One of the advertised selling points was the mower's electric left deck.

"Since plaintiff purchased the mower ... the deck lift has failed multiple times rendering the equipment worthless and a piece of junk," the suit states, adding that Husqvarna manufactured and marketed a defective product.

Green claims she has suffered loss of use in the amount of $2,500.

She also claims to have suffered mental anguish damages.

Attorney E. Hart Green of Weller, Green, Toups and Terrell in Beaumont represents her.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. D192-525
