Following a collision with a tractor-trailer two years ago, Beaumont local Lauren Jackson has filed suit against AETCO Trucking and its employee, Naaman Marroquin.
The suit was filed Aug. 6 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Aug. 8, 2010, Jackson was driving on South Major Drive when a tractor-trailer being driven by Marroquin, while in the employment of AETCO Trucking, collided with her.
The suit does not state how exactly the incident occurred.
Jackson alleges Marroquin negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to control his vehicle in plaintiff's lane.
AETCO Trucking is faulted with negligent entrustment.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and lost wages, plus all court costs, including attorney's fees.
She also seeks pre-judgment and post-judgment interest.
Beaumont attorney Thomas Moses represents her.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
