Doguet’s Rice Milling Co. is suing Perfected Foods Corp., alleging the defendant has refused to pay for delivered goods.
Doguet’s filed the suit Sept. 11 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, Perfected Foods requested that Doguet’s provide it with certain goods and agreed to pay for the goods.
“Although plaintiff has provided defendant with said goods, defendant has failed to pay plaintiff,” the suit states. “Plaintiff has demanded payment, but defendant has not paid.”
Although the suit does not state when the transaction for goods took place, it does accuses Perfected Foods of breach its contract.
Doguet’s Rice Milling is seeking a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court and any other relief it may be entitled to.
Beaumont attorney Chris Portner of Portner Bond represents Doguet’s Rice Milling.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
