Seeking to recover more than $13,000 from a delinquent account, American Express Centurion Bank has filed suit against Port Neches local Todd Bryson.

The suit was filed Sept. 27 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, AmEx and Bryson entered into a card member agreement and the company made cash advances to the defendant, making him bound to repay the advances.

“Defendant has failed to repay all of the advances made under the agreement,” the suit states. “The current balance owing … is $13,509.23.”

The suit further accuses Bryson of breaching his contract.

AmEx is suing for the balance due, interest, court costs and attorney’s fees.

Attorney Joseph O’bell of the Taylor law firm Zwicker & Associates represents the company.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. B193-231
