American Express Centurion Bank is suing Beaumont resident Jerry Moore in order to collect more than $8,000 on a delinquent account.

According to the lawsuit, the parties entered into a card member agreement, in which American Express made cash advances to Ramirez.

The suit does not state when the agreement was agreed upon.

“Defendant has failed to repay all of the advances made under the agreement,” the suit states. “The current balance is … totals $8,996.25.”

The suit says the lender has made demands for payment but Moore has refused to pay the balance owing.

American Express is suing for actual damages, interest, court costs and attorney’s fees.

Taylor attorney Joseph O’Bell of Zwicker & Associates represents the plaintiff.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
