Port Arthur local Evelyn Johnson is suing Megaplay Family Fun Center for injuries she allegedly received tripping over car blocks after exiting the building.
The suit was filed Oct. 15 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on July 14, 2011, Johnson was exiting the Port Arthur Megaplay when she tripped over car blocks that blocked the walkway.
The suit does not state the nature of her alleged injuries.
However, the suit does accuse the defendant of failing to safeguard the public from dangerous conditions and also failing to inspect and maintain its premises.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.
Attorney Tom Oxford of the Beaumont law firm Waldman Smallwood represents her.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
