Suit alleges Becon Construction worker dropped object on plaintiff

Orange resident Slade Clasby is suing Becon Construction for injuries he received when a company employee dropped an object on him. 

The suit was filed Oct. 22 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 18 Clasby was working at the Motiva refinery in Port Arthur when a heavy foreign object struck him.

The object was dropped by a Becon employee from a height of two stories and struck Clasby on the right shoulder and neck area, the suit states.

Becon was in control of the premises at the time of the incident and was performing work in a negligent manner, the suit states.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
