Bill Lindsey Construction sued for employee’s collision

Harris County resident Tawanna Breaux has filed suit against Bill Lindsey Construction, alleging one of the company’s employees caused an automobile collision.

The suit was filed Nov. 27 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 10 Breaux was traveling on the Eastex Freeway near the intersection of Highway 105 in Beaumont when the employee struck her from behind. The vehicle was pinned to the median wall where she was truck again, which caused her to spin out of control before colliding with the employee for a third time.

The incident caused significant damage to both Breaux’s vehicle and person, the suit claims.

The suit accused the employee of negligently failing to control his vehicle. Bill Lindsey Construction is legally responsible under the legal doctrine respondeat superior.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
