Last April, Ren Management Consulting sued Renaissance Hospital Groves, and several other individuals, for more than $133,000, alleging the medical provider refuses to pay for services rendered.
Court records show that on Oct. 16 Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, granted the plaintiff’s motion to non-suit several of the individual defendants in the suit.
As previously reported, the suit was filed April 23 in Jefferson County District Court and also named Kiglapait Hospital, Foundations Management Affiliated, Bradley Cardenas, Travis Owens, Woody Moore, Duanne Rossman and Rich Wursche as defendants.
On Oct. 9 RMC filed a notice of non-suit, stating it no longer wished to pursue its claims against Cardenas, Owens, Rossman and Wursche.
Judge Floyd dismissed the defendants without prejudice, court papers say.
According to the lawsuit, Renaissance and RMC entered into a management contract. Renaissance has paid for services from RMC in the past but now for “no apparent reason” is refusing to pay the amount owed.
RMC alleges it is owed $133,333.33 for services rendered.
Additionally, RMC alleges the defendants breached the contract and is suing for actual and consequential damages, plus attorney’s fees and court costs.
