An investment company has filed a writ of garnishment against the credit union that it claims holds money that the company is owed.
Old West Capital Co. claims it won a judgment against defendant Kelli Rae Jaubert, also known as Kelli Trahan Rhame, for $2,596.91, plus post-judgment interest of 12 percent per annum.
Now, Old West seeks property from defendant Fivepoint Federal Credit Union, saying it either has Rhame’s property or owes her money. Because Rhame has nothing in Texas to satisfy her debt to Old West, the company is seeking the property from Fivepoint, according to the complaint filed Jan. 7 in Jefferson County District Court.
Old West is seeking a writ of garnishment, a judgment in the amount of the judgment owed to Rhame, post-judgment interest and other relief the court deems just.
Aubyn K. Shettle Jr. and Alisa S. Richman of Dallas will be representing it.
The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
