While looking at a truck, Jack Long claims a display vehicle on a rotating platform struck him.
On March 11 he filed suit against Daylight Motors in Jefferson County District Court, alleging the dealership failed to warn him of the dangerous condition.
According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 21, 2012, Long was eyeing vehicles at Daylight’s auto lot when a sales lady took him to look at a truck.
“While looking over the truck, plaintiff was struck by a vehicle being displayed by defendant on a rotating platform/lift,” the suit states.
The suit further alleges Daylight negligently failed to warn him of the danger and correct the dangerous condition created by the rotating vehicle.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.
Beaumont attorney Adam Terrell of the Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell law firm represents him.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
