Alleging they were involved in a hit and run, Eddie Wesie and minor T. Wesie have filed suit against Melvin Ross and TMC Transportation.
The suit was filed March 7 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on July 25, 2011, the plaintiffs were at the intersection of Highway 105 and Highway 69 in Beaumont when Ross, who was in the course and scope of his employment with TMC, allegedly slammed into the rear of the plaintiffs’ vehicle three times.
“Further, the defendant fled the scene,” the suit states. “These impacts were substantial, resulting in the injuries and damages complained of herein.”
The suit accuses Ross of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout, control the speed of his vehicle and apply his brakes.
Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents the plaintiffs.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
