As subrogee of Felicia Therrien, Colonial County Mutual Insurance Co. has filed suit against Gloria Roy in order to recover benefits paid to its insured following an automobile collision.
The suit was filed March 6 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on April 11, 2012, Roy was traveling on Twin City Highway in Port Arthur when she collided with Therrien’s vehicle.
The suit accuses Roy of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and maintain control of her vehicle.
The insured sustained injuries and Colonial was required to pay $2,347.
The plaintiff is suing for actual damages and court costs.
Attorney Lisa Chastain of the Irving Law Office of Driskell & Wright represents the plaintiff.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
