Field service technician sues Denton County company for overtime wages

SHERMAN - A field service technician has filed a lawsuit against a Denton County company claiming that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying him overtime wages. 

Adam Crawford filed suit against Automotive Fleetserve and Michael Curtis on March 23 in the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division.

Crawford worked for the defendants from November 2011 through January 2013 as a field service technician.

Crawford claims that during his employment with the defendants that he worked in excess of 40 hours, but was not paid one and one-half times his regular rate of pay for each overtime hour worked.

The defendants are accused of willful violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff is seeking an award of actual and compensatory damages, liquidated damages, court costs, interest and attorney’s fees.

Crawford is represented by Charles L. Scalise of Ross Law Group in Austin. A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Ron Clark is assigned to the case.
