Seeking more than $100,000 in damages, Starco Impex has filed suit against Brazos Wholesale, alleging the defendant has not paid for delivered merchandise.
The suit was filed May 7 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, the parties entered into a written contract, Starco provided Brazos with merchandise.
“Although plaintiff has provided defendant with … merchandise, defendant has failed to pay plaintiff,” the suit states. “Plaintiff has demanded payment, but defendant has not paid.”
Starco is seeking damages in amount more than $100,000 but less than $200,000.
Beaumont attorney Chris Portner of Portner Bond represents the plaintiff.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
