Petition seeks to investigate injury at Chevron-Phillips

James and Jackqulen McBride have filed a petition for authorization to conduct depositions, seeking to investigate a personal injury that allegedly occurred at Chevron-Phillips Chemical Co.

The petition was filed May 20 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, on April 9 James was injured while working at Chevron-Phillip’s facility.

At the present time, James has been unable to relay the circumstances of his injuries, and depositions are needed to investigate a potential lawsuit.

The petitioners are requesting a court order allowing the depositions of all people who may have knowledge of the incident.

Beaumont attorney Paul Ferguson Jr. of Provost Umphrey represents them.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
