Worker blames Hydro-Clean for loss of smell

Area resident Charles Green is suing Hydro-Clean Services, alleging he lost of his sense of smell while working. 

The suit was filed June 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, sometime in November and while employed by the defendant, Green lost his sense of smell.

At the time of the incident, he was suing solvents in a confined area to clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems.

The suit accuses the defendant of negligently failing to provide the proper safety gear and a safe place to work.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Tommy Yeates of the Moore Landrey law firm represents him.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, is assigned to the case.
