Quest Diagnostics seeks more than $100K from Beaumont company

Orleans neil

A drug testing facility has filed suit against the Beaumont company that it claims failed to pay it more than $100,000 for work it performed.

Quest Diagnostics Laboratories claims it performed work for defendant Lab Advantage. Despite charging Lab Advantage $118,941.05 for its services, Quest Diagnostics has still not been paid the money, according to the complaint filed Aug. 22 in Jefferson County District Court.

“Defendant has failed and continues in its failure and refusal to pay the same or any part thereof to plaintiff’s damages as aforesaid,” the suit states.

In addition to the money it claims it is owed, Quest seeks attorneys’ fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Neil J. Orleans and Lindsey L. Reinhardt of Goins, Underkofler, Crawford & Langdon in Dallas will be representing it.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
