An Orange County resident is suing three people after being involved in an automobile collision.
Tarah D. Brown filed a lawsuit Nov. 11 in the District Court of Jefferson County against Julio E. Guandique, Teresita P. Cruz and Eric M. Lemaire, citing negligent entrustment and negligence.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 13, 2012, Brown, Guandique and Lemaire were involved in a motor vehicle collision on Texas 73.
The plaintiff contends that Guandique was operating a vehicle owned by Cruz and was illegally stopped in a moving lane of traffic, causing Brown to collide with the vehicle.
Lemaire then rear-ended the plaintiff's vehicle, the complaint states.
Brown is seeking damages in excess of $200,000, but less than $1 million.
The plaintiff is being represented in the case by attorney James M. Lassiter III of Lassiter Law Firm.
The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
