Esurance asks court to grant petition seeking video surveillance

An insurance company is asking the court to have a bank to produce video surveillance as it investigates a claim against an insured motorist.

Esurance Insurance Co. filed a petition requesting permission from the court to conduct a deposition of BBVA Compass Bank by written questions on Nov. 12 in the District Court of Jefferson County regarding a pending lawsuit.

The petition states that Esurance is seeking to investigate a claim made against Lisa White and that they are requesting a security video tape taken at the Twin City Highway ATM in Port Neches on Aug. 2.

According to White, a motor vehicle accident occurred as she was in the line of traffic at that location. The company wants to see if the ATM cameras picked up footage of White's wreck.

Esurance is being represented in the case by Rogelio Garcia of G. Patrick Collins & Associates.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
