A family is suing a driver after they are injured in a car crash.

Doug Asher and Tammy Asher, individually and as next friend of Alan Asher, filed a lawsuit Dec. 3 in the District Court of Jefferson County against Jennifer Robinson.

The Ashers are seeking damages in excess of $1 million.

The plaintiffs allege that on June 22, they were involved in a collision with the defendant.

The complaint states the collision was caused by the negligence of the defendant as he failed to control his speed and keep a proper lookout. The plaintiffs say they suffered serious injures because of the collision.

They are being represented in the case by attorney Matthew C. Matheny of Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP.

The case has been assigned to Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court.

Case No. D195-021
