Safeco Insurance Co. sued by policy holder for breach of contract

Jack and Kimberly Edmonds filed suit Sept. 13 in the Collin County District Court, naming Safeco Insurance Co. of Indiana as the defendant.

The Edmonds say they were mistreated by Safeco after filing a claim following hail damage to their home in May 2011. The Edmonds allege the damage to their property should have been covered by their insurance policy, but Safeco refuses to pay them for the damages. The Edmonds are suing for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.

The Edmonds are seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. They are being represented by attorney Bill L. Voss.
