On May 6, Del Papa Distributing Co. presented a $15,000 donation to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Southeast Texas.
The distributor’s financial contribution will support the organization’s mission to recruit, train and supervise a diverse group of community court-appointed volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the pursuit of safe, permanent homes.
A long-time supporter of CASA, Del Papa’s recent gift was sourced from the company’s Community Fund which directs a large percentage of their annual giving toward children’s programs and organizations.
“We’ve seen the tangible impact that CASA of Southeast Texas has made on the youth in the communities we serve,” said Peter Williamson, vice president of business and community relations for Del Papa Distributing Company. “We’re proud to support their programs that give a much-needed voice to the voiceless and present these children with a chance at happiness, stability and the opportunity to thrive.”
CASA of Southeast Texas serves over 350 local children each year. To date, the organization has trained over 90 trained advocates who have dedicated more than 2,245 volunteer hours toward these children.
