An employee is suing after sustaining injuries on a worksite.

George Jones filed a lawsuit Jan. 8 in the Jefferson County District Court against Precision Drilling Halliburton Exploration and Chesapeake Energy Corp.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 8, 2012, Jones was seriously injured while working for Precision Drilling on a job site managed by the defendants when he slipped and fell.

The complaint alleges the injury occurred because the defendants were negligent by failing to properly inspect and maintain the area, failing to give adequate warnings of the unsafe condition and failing to use the care of a reasonably prudent person.

Jones is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by attorneys Zona Jones and Cody Dishon of Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP.
