Wal-Mart sued after woman falls in parking lot

A woman is suing after sustaining injury in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Jennifer Parker filed a lawsuit Jan. 20 in the Galveston County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC, citing premises liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 19, 2012, Parker was injured while employed by Murphy USA Gas Station, located in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Supercenter store No. 3298, 255 FM 518, Kemah, when she tripped on uneven pavement in the parking lot and fell. 

Parker is seeking more than $200,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey N. Todd of The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd.
