A woman is suing after sustaining injury in a car collision.
Keisha Davis filed a lawsuit Jan. 31 in the Galveston County District Court against Melissa Fortier, citing motor vehicle negligence.
According to the complaint, on June 3, 2012, Davis was driving eastbound on Broadway Street in Galveston when the car Fortier was driving collided with the rear of Davis's car, causing injury to the plaintiff.
Fortier is accused of failing to control the speed of her vehicle and failing to apply the brakes to avoid a collision.
Davis is seeking more than $100,000 in damages.
She is being represented in the case by attorney Dáragh John M. Carter of Smith & Hassler in Houston.
