Texas City ISD sued after school bus accident

A lawsuit has been filed against a local school district on behalf of a minor injured in a school bus collision.


Ronda Drope, as next friend of Miranda Brunner, a minor, filed a lawsuit Feb. 21 in the Galveston County District Court against Texas City Independent School District, citing negligence and respondeat superior.

The complaint states on Oct. 26, Brunner sustained injuries in a collision while riding aboard the defendant's school bus. The defendant is liable for the bus driver's negligence, according to the complaint.

Brunner is seeking damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey N. Todd of The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd.
