Man seeks $1M from Minerva Marine over slip and fall

A man is suing after he slipped while aboard a vessel.


Patrick Malone filed a lawsuit Feb. 25 in the Galveston County District Court against Minerva Marine Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 9, Malone was an employee at Amspec LLC and was aboard the vessel Minerva Virgo, performing his regular job duties as a petrochemical inspector.

He claims that while aboard the vessel, he slipped on a slippery substance on the deck, causing him to fall and hit his head and sustain injuries.

Malone is seeking damages in excess of $1 million.

He is being represented by attorney Keith W. Lapeze of Houston.
